Love Your Pet is committed to enriching the relationship between people and their pets by providing quality playtime, socialization, and loving, affordable service. Established in 1998, we are experienced in animal care and can offer your pet the much-needed attention and socialization that keeps your pet happy and healthy. Responsible, loving pet parents know that dogs should never be left alone for more than four to five hours, especially puppies or newly adopted dogs. With today's busy lifestyle, pets are usually left alone for many hours each day. This may lead to behavior problems such as destructiveness, lethargy, separation anxiety, or medical problems such as obesity or bladder infections for having to "hold it" for so long. Your pet may become sick and need medical attention.

What happens when you're not home? Also, a disobedient pet can lead to costly corrective training or worse, to be given up. Therefore, a happy, healthy pet means that pets and their parents can spend quality time together while saving time, money, and aggravation in the long run.

Transportation. You can drop off your pet at our facility, or we can pick him up for you! Love Your Pet offers pet taxi service for playgroup dogs and boarding dogs during the week (holidays excluded) for clients that live within our service area.  (See Services & Rates page for more info). Love Your Pet's philosophy is spending less time driving and focusing on quality playtime. We have an 8-passenger limit so our goal is 30-minutes or less of traveling time for your dog; as opposed to many hours in vans with other services.

Love Your Pet's pick up & drop off SERVICE AREA for playgroup, boarding, grooming and cat visits, is between Fullerton & Cermak, Pulaski & the I-90 Kennedy Expressway.  If you live outside of this area, are interested in dog training or attending any of our fundraising events for our Love Your Pet Rescue division, please visit our facility. We welcome pets and their humans from anywhere!

Is your pet a LOVE YOUR PET candidate?

Play Group: If your dog is spayed or neutered, loves to exercise and socializes well with other dogs, then chances are s/he can be admitted into our program. Love Your Pet playgroups are interactive, supervised and intimate--not dozens of dogs running around in chaos. Each dog receives proper attention and socialization--and we are also small dog friendly! Love Your Pet boasts of having one of the largest outdoor play areas in the city--over 10,000 square feet of fresh air and running room! Add to that another 10,000 square feet from our newly acquired indoor space used exclusively for LYP dogs! Here s/he can run, explore, play a game of fetch, cool down in the pools, and meet and socialize with other dogs in a safe, secure, clean, and completely fenced-in environment. (Please inquire about availability. Because of the exclusivity of our playgroup program, your dog may be put on a short waiting list).

Vacation Packages & Free-Roam Boarding: To be admitted into this program dogs must be spayed or neutered, potty trained, socialize well with other dogs, and can be left alone for a few hours at a time during the day without being destructive or aggressive with other dogs since they stay together in great rooms. Unlike a typical dog kennel in which dogs are caged for many hours a day and stressed out from all the barking, Love Your Pet proudly features a loving, quiet, home-style environment for your beloved dog. We have an on-site operations manager living at the facility and spends the night with the dogs.  We replicate your home environment complete with a common room with a couch and TV. And if your dog wants alone time, he can saunter off and find a nice plush dog bed on which to snooze. Clients boast about how their dog comes home relaxed and happy. (Since space is limited, advance reservations are required for holidays).

Pet Sitting: (Weekdays & weekends and 3-visit minimum). We treat your beloved cat or other pet and home as if they were our own. Being pet parents ourselves, we realize that your pet is a very important part of the family. LYP employees take their job seriously.

Dog Training & Agility: Love Your Pet has joined forces with Jessica Hamman (see SERVICES & RATES page) to offer you professional dog training by certified staff.
